MC-4 Hack
Roland MC-4

what is it:

a software application that lets you program your Oberheim DSX sequencer with MIDI files from your computer! Turn your DSX into an 8 track CV/Gate sequencing monster!

New version 1.1 available! (see Version History in Documentation for info). Free upgrade for existing users!

what are its features:
• remove constraint of requiring an Oberheim synth to program the DSX
• convert
a MIDI file to any of DSX's 10 sequences
• easily program each of DSX's 10 merges using your computer
• send sequence info to any/all of the DSX's CV/Gate outputs to control your analog synths
• save DSX sequences and/or merges on your computer as audio files for easy re-use later

"The Oberheim DSX has a special place in my heart since it was the very first commercial product I developed. It is quite amazing to see it able to be put to practical use again 35 years after its introduction, thanks to DSX Hack!"

Paul White
(Founder of Electrongate, and former Oberheim engineer)
Pau White
"Congratulations on your accomplishment! This sounds like a great way to revitalize an old DSX for use in a modular synth system."
