All the buttons and faders are named so it shouldn't be that much of a big deal working out how these things work but a quick description will help. These are both midi sys-ex files containing one patch each. Get them into your PC1600 by whatever means necessary. They are designed to control Logic audio objects but could probably be used with the track mixer to a certain extent too. LogicFaders.mid This is a simple patch providing levels and mutes on 16 midi channels. The important feature is that it uses CC3 to control the mutes rather using the fader mute feature on the PC1600. This is better since you can mute and unmute a channel and get the level back exactly as it was. If you use the fader mute feature the physical fader has to match the logical fader position. To use this patch route the PC1600 to the appropriate [A,B,C]-Playback object in Logic. LogicChannel.mid This patch gives almost complete control over a Logic audio channel strip. There are controls for level, pan, mute and solo; freq, gain, q and bypass on four bands of EQ; levels for the first two effects sends; and bypass buttons for the first four inserts. In fact nearly everything in a channel strip that can be controlled remotely. To use route the PC1600 to the appropriate audio object. Apple clicking on it will do, or select the appropriate track in the arrange window. Ab Wilson nwilson@neonsoft.com 10/00
