Cubase Mixer This patch allows the pc1600x to control the first 8 faders and mute buttons in the Cubase VST Monitor window, using the also-supplied "VST Mixer" Cubase MixerMap. I don't know if this works for Cubase on the PC platform, but it does nicely on my Mac. Yes, you can record the moves into Cubase, to automate your mixes! ************************************ FADERS & BUTTONS (eight identical sets, fader/button 1-8) Fader - Volume Button - Toggles Mute ************************************ Some details and recording tips: 1- To see both the Mixermap's faders AND the VST Monitor's faders move, the VST Monitor must be set to "Read" (not "Write"). 2- The Mixermap window MUST be the active window (dont' ask me why). If you're just trying things out, "Local" mode is fine. To record fader/button movements into your song while it is playing, switch modes to "Write". 3- Another quirk - you must FIRST activate the "Read" button in the VST Monitor window (#1 above), then go to the Mixermap window and toggle "Options/MIDI to Selected", and then again back to "Options/MIDI to All" (the original setting). I don't know why you have to reset this like this, but if you don't, all the Mixermap faders *appear* to be mapped to VST fader #1. I say *appear* because actually, if you're in Mixermap write mode, and then play your song back, you will see that the correct info gets recorded, and all faders move appropriately - so it's just a funky display thing. 4- Make sure that the mixermap objects all have their outputs mapped to "Cubase". Some users have told me that sometimes this get's changed between systems, I'm not sure...Also, the output channel is set to "1" on each object, though I don't think this makes a difference anyway, when things are output to "Cubase". **Please note: this mixer map was created with ideas culled from an article written by Frank Heller, which I got from a sample Club Cubase magazine.
