------------------ Using The Peavey pc1600x as a Roland MC 303 Controller. This package contains the following files: 1600x_MC303_Drums.syx 1600x_MC303_Bass.syx 1600x_MC303_Drums.txt 1600x_MC303_Bass.txt 1600x_MC303.txt (You are reading this textfile now) 1600x-MC303-Demo.mid (Standard Midi-File for use in any sequencer) 1600x-MC303-Demo.all (Cubase Song-File) Read 1600x_MC303_Bass.txt and 1600x_MC303_Drums.txt for informations about the fader and button setup. Dump the 2 .syx - Files to your Peavey PC 1600x. Start your sequencer and load the .mid-File (or .all-File if you use Cubasis/Cubase) Switch the Midioutports to your MC303-Port. Move your cursor to the track named "Peavey" (On this track the Midi Channel is set to ´all´) Allow your sequencer to send sysex-strings. (In Cubase this function is default switched to ´OFF´) Press button 16 on PC 1600x (Preset MC 303 Bass or MC 303 Drums) to switch into ´Sound Module Mode´. It is recommended to use this presets always in ´Sound Module Mode´ because the MC303 will work better in ´Sound Module´ than in ´Normal Mode´. In ´Normal Mode´ the Midi-Timing is not correct when you slide the faders fast or when you use 2 faders at the same time. Now start the song and play around with the two Presets, Faders and Buttons. For the future I will program presets with 2 Drumsets and one Bass like Rebirth. It is possible to use on channel 10 i.e. ´808 Drumset´ and on channel 11 ´909 Drumset´ at the same time. Have fun ;-) More Presets will following soon. eMails are welcome! ruediger.fuchs@t-online.de or ruediger@estepg.de http://www.estepg.de
