THE K5000 MACRO-BOX USING THE PC1600x This program lets you use the pc1600x (and probably the pc1600) as a 'macro-box' emulator for the Kawai K5000 synths. If you've got a K5000, the functions of the sliders are self-explanatory, so I'll list, in text, the CC#s. The program I did it on uses the K5000 on MIDI channel 7, so if you download it, you might have to change channels on all of the sliders. I didn't program anything for the buttons, but almost anything can be programmed into them; source mutes, AM on-off, portamento on-off, mono/ poly, etc, etc. Here it is: Fader# CC# Name 1 16 H-Lo 2 17 H-Hi 3 71 E/O 4 18 FF Bias 5 19 FF Speed 6 75 FF Depth 7 74 Cutoff 8 77 Resonance 9 76 Velocity 10 73 Attack 11 78 Decay 12 72 Release 13 80 User 1 14 81 User 2 15 82 User 3 16 83 User 4 For best results, use the latest OS upgrades, available from: http://www.kawaius.com/download.htm http://www.kawaius.com Have fun..! atom smasher atom@icepop.straight-edge.com
