That’s right, these two labels go at it head to head on this release – Defective takes some of Filterless’s top tracks, and re-mixes, re-forms, re-invents, and just all around messes them up. All the while, Filterless artists are doing the same to tracks by Defective artists Glitch and Mike Parker, to be released on an upcoming Filterless Records release…
On the A-side, Dei Sub and Astrocat remix Conspiracy‘s “Knowledge Phreax”, changing the feel of the track dramatically, and in each case making some really danceable, funked up grooves emerge from the original track. The original is on the B-side, to give you an idea of how much these guys reworked things…
Also on the B-side, Glitch take Cosmic Soup‘s “Psychic Soupman” to new extremes, with an injection of funk and freaked out vocal samples that, well, only Glitch could put into a techno track!
